Yesterday the students were working on representing numbers using base ten blocks including Freda Flat, Rodney Rod and William One. The students had one place value mat to share with their math partner. They then took turns giving each other 3 digit numbers to represent with the base ten blocks on the mat. They then checked to see if they were correct.
